Join us for Mendelssohn & More with Listen for Life, A musical event at Lake Park
California’s Listen for Life presents a live performance of short works including tangos, as well as the Mendelssohn Piano Trio No. 2 in C Minor Opus 66 in four movements:
- Allegro Energico E Con Fuoco
- Andante Espressivo
- Scherzo: Molto Allegro Quasi Presto, and
- the Finale, Allegro Appassionato
During the event, Lake Park Activity Director Rachel Matthews will share details on the community’s many musical and cultural programs, as guests enjoy a wonderful selection of hors d’oeuvres and beverages.
About the Performers:
Philip has just recently toured Europe with his group The Brothers Comatose. He’s recorded in-studio with the Magik Magik orchestra, has performed as a soloist in many concerts and also played principal second in the San Jose Chamber Orchestra.
Gabriel has collaborated with some of the most influential musicians of our time, including Christoph Eschenbach, Yutaka Sado and Yo-Yo Ma. He has toured with orchestras throughout the US, Germany, Lithuania, Armenia, Russia and Japan.
Donna Stoerling has spent most of her career performing, touring and teaching at various European music conservatories and universities, including a position created for her as Artist in Residence at Oxford University. She is the original founder of Listen for Life.
