What's New
There is always something new at Lake Park. Everything about the fourth floor is new! You’ll see it from the minute you step off the elevators and view the Senior-on-Line computer center with all the latest computers, printers and other computer based equipment. Many residents, with all levels of expertise, have signed up for special instruction from a very accommodating computer expert, making the experience that much better!
The new fourth floor lobby invites conversation enlivened by brightly colored fish playing tag in the aquarium. Just the place to meet your friends before adjourning to the Active Living Center to take part in one of the many activities there! Lake View Fitness is surely the most beautiful fitness center in the East Bay, overlooking Lake Merritt and the East Bay Hills. Completely outfitted for group exercises as well as individual exercising, residents have the special advantage of having access to a expert exercise consultant who works individually to enhance residents’ exercise regimes. She is the only graduate of CUEB to have completed a course in preventing falls and balance issues.
Added to this is a splendid Game Room with billiards and poker table, a Massage Therapy Office, newly refurbished Art Studio, Audubon Meeting Room, Wii Center, Transportation Services Office, Resident Association Office and the Marketing Offices - everything to enhance living at Lake Park.
The conversion of the fourth floor added seven new, deluxe apartments, six of which were occupied as soon as the construction was complete. The remaining apartment is a very large one bedroom complete with a superb, fully equipped kitchen, enhanced bathroom, extraordinary closet space and special finishes. Truly spectacular!
Other new changes: re-carpeting has been completed on all floors and new ceiling fixtures are planned for the near future. Many apartments have had new kitchens installed, much to the delight of residents who like the idea of being able to cook when they wish even though dining at Lake Park is always a pleasure. Lake Park is constantly looking to enhance the livability of the community and continue making this the best place for retirement living. --- anywhere!
